Michael, age 8, is swimming with Ethan, age 7 in CA. Michael and Ethan were both dx with autism. Ethan is now recovered. Michael has been doing IV Chelation for about 2 years. We stopped in CA during our 9 week roadtrip around the USA, visiting family and friends. This was the first time Michael ever swam without a life preserver. There are over 200 published clinical studies documenting the need for magnesium and many examples of miraculous cures from the use of this common mineral. Yet DAN (Defeat Autism Now) doctors underestimate autistic childrens needs recommending only 50 mgs twice a day in oral form even though children with gut problems can absorb only small percentages through their intestines. Certainly between December 2008 and Summer 2009 we spent a fortune on this gluten free casein free diet, plus xylitol and all the other things involved in that diet, with no effects either on removing the “offending” foods, nor on returning them to the diet also. The idea that autism is caused by improper digestion of gluten and casein producing some morphine like substances may well be the case for some autistic children, but, it would appear, not ours. However, omega 3 contains as part of it a mild chelative acid, aiding the brain to rid itself of mercury. This is a short video of one of my sons rituals that he use to do before we started biomedical interventions with him. He has 13 food allergies, weak IgG 1-4 subclasses, gut issues, heavy metal accodring to porphyrin test and is pulling mercury in the red level after chelation, and a metabollic disorder. After treating the medical issues that he was going through and putting him on a diet minus the 13 foods he is allergic to he started making more progress in language, eye contact, social skills, and his rituals were not as they use to be. He is still OCD with 2 things, McDonalds drive throughs and visiting his great grandmother each day after he gets off the school bus to do his daily routine of reading books, drawing characters, making popcorn, eating blueberries, taking a bath, then coming home. Not sure why he has to do these things in that order every day but ever since he started school in October that has been his routine.
